Activist Zillay Shah dies in a road accident, not due to police violence: IG Punjab

LAHORE (Balochistan Times) - Regarding the death of PTI worker Zillay Shah, IG Punjab said that the worker died in a road accident, not due to police violence.

In a media briefing on Saturday, he said that the occupants of the same vehicle brought Zillay Shah to the hospital. The footage of 31 cameras was investigated and the two drivers were arrested.

The accused told the investigation that the incident took place on the Fortress Stadium bridge, A ruckus was created after the incident. “The phone calls of the accused and PTI leaders and all the evidence will be brought forward,” he added.

Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi said in a media briefing that the owner of the car, Raja Shakeel, is a PTI official. After the accident, he told Yasmeen Rashid, who called for a meeting and planned the entire murder plot.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Zillay Shah's father was offered money to stay standing. You should do politics but do not mislead such a person. You cannot suppress by threats, insults and accusations.
