LAHORE (Balochistan Times) - An agreement for the extension of the shrine of Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh (RA) with the cooperation of Madina Foundation.
The signing ceremony was held at the CM Office. Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi and Data Darbar Religious Affairs Committee Chairman and Federal Minister Finance Ishaq Dar were chief guests on the occasion.
Mufti Muhammad Ramzan Sialvi offered special prayers after the ceremony. According to the agreement, the Madina Foundation will undertake extension of the corridors and (Ghulam Gardish) around the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. An amount of Rs 160 million will be incurred on the project.
The capacity of visitors will be increased from 3,000 to 5,000 in the corridors and of Ghulam Gardish with the completion of the project. NESPAK will perform its services as a consultancy firm. Comfort and ease will be created for the visitors with the expansion of corridors of Data Darbar.
CM Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete the project before the Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. He said that the system of 'Langar Khana' of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh will be made of an international standard, adding that there is also a need to improve the quality of 'Langar'.
Federal Minister Ishaq Dar said that he thanks Allah Almighty that he was granted an opportunity to witness the signing agreement of the extension of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine.
The Auqaf secretary gave a briefing about the project to CM Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Provincial Minister Auqaf Azfar Ali Nasir, Mian Rasheed of Madina Foundation, 92 News Group Adviser Aslam Tareen, Secretary Auqaf, Pakistan Ruet-e-Halal Committee Mufti Chairman Muhammad Ramzan Sialvi and other officials were also present.
