Much needed equipments to be given PIMS: Dr Faisal

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences PIMS.
Special Assistant to PM on Capital Development Authority CDA Ali Nawaz Awan was also present at the occasion. The hospital’s management handed them a list of equipment required for the hospital.
Both the special assistants also visited the emergency and intensive care units and inquired from patients about the treatment being provided to them. They also inquired about ventilators and other equipment which the hospital lacked.
Dr Faisal informed the hospital management that the contract for the MRI machine had been awarded and soon it would be given to the hospital management. The list was of equipment, including ventilators, ICU beds, electro-medical equipment etc provided to him.
Dr Qadeer said Dr Sultan assured the management that he would play his role in providing all the equipment to the hospital.
Earlier, Dr Sultan visited the Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Shah Alla Ditta and said it was the vision of the government to provide facilities to the primary healthcare units so that the burden on tertiary care hospitals could be reduced.
