CM Bugti felicitates people on Sindhi Culture Day

Staff Report QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday expressed good wishes to all Sindhi brothers and sisters on the occasion of Sindhi Culture Day and said that Sindhi culture is a culture of peace, love, tradition and unity. In his message on the occasion of Sindhi Culture Day, he stressed the need to officially celebrate the cultural days of all communities at the national level to promote our peaceful co-existence so that they can play their role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan with national spirit. CM Bugti felicitated Sindhi brothers and sisters living all over the world on Sindhi Culture Day, saying that culture brings colours of happiness to the lives of people. The CM said Pakistan is a bouquet of different cultures, and Sindhi culture is also prominent in this bouquet. Sarfraz Bugti said that Sindhi culture is a culture of peace, love, traditions and unity which is among the oldest cultures in the world. He said that it is our first responsibility to keep all the cultures of Pakistan alive and to attract the young generation towards knowledge and awareness. Sarfraz Bugti said that culture is the name of unity, love human respect and being connected to the motherland. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said the PPP is a symbol of constitutional supremacy and the survival of democracy, a party that has never compromised on these principles. He highlighted the sacrifices made by the PPP leadership, who laid down their lives along with hundreds of party workers. Speaking at the 57th Foundation Day ceremony of the PPP on Saturday night, CM Bugti also discussed the government’s ongoing efforts for systemic change, good governance, and addressing the issues of Balochistan, assuring that visible positive transformations would take place in the near future. Rejecting the philosophy of resorting to arms, CM Bugti said that only the ideology of the people of Pakistan would be accepted in governing the country, adding that the PPP has always been the custodian of the people’s rights and has made great sacrifices for the preservation of democracy and democratic institutions. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti emphasized the need to raise awareness about AIDS, particularly on World AIDS Day, celebrated on December 1st. The goal of this day is to educate the public about HIV/AIDS, its causes, testing, treatment, and debunk misconceptions surrounding the disease ¹. Bugti stressed that a collaborative effort between the state and society is crucial in combating AIDS. He expressed concern over the increasing number of AIDS patients in Pakistan, which demands attention and action. The provincial government, under Bugti’s leadership, has pledged to support initiatives that prevent the spread of AIDS. He urged civil society, media representatives, and scholars to join forces and develop a comprehensive strategy to tackle the disease. Bugti reiterated that healthcare is a fundamental right, and collective efforts are necessary to eradicate AIDS from Pakistan. As the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Bugti’s commitment to addressing the AIDS epidemic is a significant step towards ensuring the well-being of the people in his province.
